This Volunteer of the Month came to The Corner Table after retiring from an 18-year tenure as an Office Manager at Systel. For the past four years, she has volunteered at least once a week and served additional days when needed. She is known for her positive attitude and grace towards the guests, staff, and other volunteers. Her willingness to go over and beyond and always putting our guests first is why we have named Regina Fisher from Hickory as our Volunteer of the Month.

There are not too many roles at The Corner Table that Regina has not participated in. She serves on a cook team, works during lunch, assists with clean-up, prepares bag lunches, volunteers at our annual signature event Feed The Flock Gala, as well as contributes to making candy for our Candy Tin fundraiser. To put the icing on the cake, Regina has many limitations due to a disability. However, she does what she can without complaints to ensure our needs are met. Her favorite thing about The Corner Table is the people. She has mentioned on multiple occasions how much she enjoys helping others.

Regina is a member at Christ United Methodist Church in Mountain View and also volunteers at Safe Harbor Rescue Mission. Regina’s interests involve reading, going on cruises, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Regina is a true blessing to all of us at The Corner Table and her commitment to our mission does not go unnoticed.
